Avagyan Satenik (58 years old) lives in Artashat. Her entire life has been confined within the walls of her home: a daughter and a disabled son, whom she could not leave for even a minute. Her daughter carries her own cross — a blind son who needs round-the-clock care. Two people with disabilities in the family. Seven years ago, her husband passed away, and Satenik had to bear the full weight of caring for the family alone. She tried to help everyone, but can one person really do it all?
And now, a new blow: Satenik has been diagnosed with cancer. For the first time in many years, she needs someone to take care of her. She needs someone to reach out a helping hand. She deserves a chance at life too — not only to give hers away to others.
For treatment, around 6,500,000 drams are needed today. This is an enormous amount for a family that has been living in constant struggle. The first course of treatment is scheduled for next week. God grant her the strength to fight this illness — and we, together, will provide the medicines she needs.
